Our Room 5 & 28 refubishment has now been completed! We absolutely love their new modern look!

Room 5 is a Small Double Standard Bedroom decorated in contemporary style and with a modern bathroom which includes a walk in shower. Located on the side elevation of the hotel, the room has excellent views across the New Forest. The room has a 4'6" bed. Although a standard room the views from this room are some of the best and therefore this room represents excellent value for money. From £189 for 2 sharing inclusive of breakfast

The Canadian Third Division Celebrations

Yesterday we hosted a celebratory Afternoon Tea to commemorate the Canadian 3rd Divisions connection to the Balmer Lawn Hotel ahead of the D’Day landings in Normandy.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled and a maple tree planted in our public gardens, along with the opening of the display of the WW2 documents found under floorboards in the hotel.

A New Forest welcome for Minister for Sport, Tourism and Heritage

Tourism, heritage and local food were on the menu when David Evennett MP visited the New Forest on Thursday 26th May.

The Minister for Sport, Tourism and Heritage heard how the New Forest is a champion for sustainable tourism – encouraging visitors to help care for and understand more about the National Park which is a world capital for wildlife.

Paultons Park - Lost Kingdom Opening

With the sun shining strong for the hottest day of the year, it was perfect weather to view the development of one of the South's newest attractions.

Goodbye Anna..

We were very sad to say goodbye to Anna our F&B Manager last week, Anna is a valued member of the Balmer Lawn Team and made everyone smile with her enthusiasm and passion for her job. Anna would do anything and everything for the customers in her care to ensure they had the best Balmer Lawn experience we can offer. We will miss Anna a huge amount but wish her all the best for the future.

International Confex 2016

International Confex 2016

A great time was had by all at Olympia this week. We managed to get a few ponies (100 to be precise) out of the Forest for a trip to London and Confex 2016. Representing the New Forest alongside Careys Manor, Rhinefield and LYC events the ‘Picapony’ was a huge hit – with everyone keen to get their hands on our golden ponies! Rumour has it that there was a lot of business done too.

Sylvan Pavilion
