The Hotel General Management
The Balmer Lawn is managed on a daily basis by the senior team of Heads of Departments; all experienced and highly motivated individuals whose one aim is to ensure all the staff deliver a truly great experience for our customers. Chris Wilson is the Proprietor and works closely with Michael Clitheroe, the General Manager. Our aim is to have an efficient and highly professional workforce but not lose the common touch. All of the team are friendly and approachable and are here to make your stay at Balmer Lawn a pleasant and memorable experience, from check in to check out!
Our Reception team, managed by Andrew Foote and assisted by Senior Receptionist Francesca Sparrow, will be delighted to welcome you to the Hotel. The team will assist you from making your reservation, welcoming you to the Hotel and ensuring your comfort throughout, offering advice on the local area and its attractions.
Bar and Lounge Team
The team is headed by our Bar & Terrace Manager, Abdo Eniw and assisted by Bar Supervisors Peter Hudak and Kemi Brathwaite-Kelly. Together with their team, they look forward to sharing their knowledge of our selection of wines, beers and spirits with you along with our recently launched lounge menu.
Beresford’s our AA two rosette restaurant is managed by Restaurant Manager Fernando Teixeira, Assistant Restaurant Manager Chloe Chanton, Restaurant Supervisor Samantha Coad and their team of dedicated staff. They are always happy to share their knowledge of our menu which showcases the best of local produce whenever possible, whilst offering a high standard of personal care.
Our Executive Head Chef Chris Wheeldon knows that great service needs to be complimented by great food and his team will ensure that you are not disappointed. Our kitchen team love to showcase the best of local produce as part of their innovative dishes. The menu reflects seasonal changes and Chef loves to introduce new dishes throughout the year.
Our Head Therapist Leanne and her team of Melissa, Holly and Lucy use the fine products of renowned brand ESPA in a range of treatments and therapies to ensure your well-being.
Anita Elsom our Head Housekeeper and team put in enormous effort to ensure the rooms and public areas of the Hotel are always clean and welcoming. If you require any additional items in your room, just ask Anita!
Conference and Banqueting Team
With Banqueting and Conference Manager Slavomir Gajdos leading a team of dedicated staff, your special occasions, weddings and conferences will always be a magnificent memory.
Paul MacDonald, our Operations Manager assisted by Duty Manager Hannah Styles are on hand to assist both guests and the team to ensure everything runs smoothly.
The team of Sales and Marketing Manager, Amandine Desquartiers. Wedding Co-ordinator Ruth Mundy and Events Co-ordinator Tiffany Tat work hard to ensure everything is in place for that special event or conference.
We wish we could name all of our staff as all play a vital part in the daily running of the Hotel, but we always recognize the important contribution they all make to our success.
