Our Standards

Every occasion is worth celebrating in style, and at Balmer Lawn Hotel we take pride in making your event truly memorable. From intimate gatherings to grand celebrations for up to 120 guests, our dedicated team will ensure every detail is taken care of.

No two occasions are the same. Whether you’re hosting a baby shower, hen do, anniversary or birthday, we’ll work with you to create a celebration that reflects your vision and feels uniquely yours.

You can count on us for good food. Our talented chefs from Balmer Lawns 2 AA Rosette Beresford restaurant have uniquely created a selection of seasonal banqueting menus for you to indulge in. Whether you would like a formal three course dinner, a relaxed buffet or you have something bespoke in mind, we have plenty to offer you.

    50th Wedding Anniversary

    Thank you so very much for providing, myself and my husband of fifty years(!), such a wonderful and enjoyable occasion last Sunday 22nd - it was definitely golden!

    Your organisation was superb and Lindsay's team performed very efficiently before and throughout the gathering.

    Chandra plus the Reception and Lodge Catering team must also be commended for their friendliness and diligence; not forgetting the Housekeeping team who managed our bedrooms around our comings and goings throughout Sunday.

    We were apprehensive beforehand, never having held such an event, but our trust in the Balmer Lawn Hotel was rewarded in abundance.

    We have had many enjoyable stays at the hotel over recent years and have always felt comfortable - as if we were coming home each time!

    Our guests were most complimentary about the hotel ambience and the delicious food choices; the children loved having their own table in the alcove and having access to both indoor and outdoor games.

    All in all it was splendid, so we thank you all very much for making it so.

    We hope to be able to stay again in the Spring.

Cannot fault in anything. Right until the end, with the staff arranging, the cake, teas coffees etc in the Club room.”

    “I just wanted to thank you so much for all your help and guidance in arranging our wedding celebration party on Saturday. Thankfully weather was glorious so the terrace and garden was a huge bonus. We met up with staying guests for supper and Sunday breakfast and they all had had a wonderful stay at Balmer Lawn.     Rob Smith – 60th Birthday

    “Everything was just perfect. I would like to ramble on a bit because it is the little details that made all the difference for us. The food was excellent, it arrived without fuss or bother, the portions and quality was really good. Better than expected and I think very good value for money. The room set up was just right for our numbers. The little details like location of the buffet, position of the tea/coffee station and how that was set up was just how I imagined it would be. The sound system worked well nice size, not too big. Perfect. I liked the quality of the room decoration, carpet and furniture inside, and on the patio. Nice to see everything in good order and up-together, I've seen many hotels getting a bit rough around the edges, but Balmer Lawn just looks and feels good, it feels like a nice place to be. The kids enjoyed the pool for half an hour. Thanks for sorting that out for us. They also really enjoyed the table tennis.

    We enjoyed our stay over, the room and lovely breakfast. Julie liked the happy birthday piped in chocolate onto the plate with the 2 chocolates.

    Above all every member of your staff that we met were really nice, friendly, helpful, and joyfully. It makes a big difference to the atmosphere, which was lovely.”

    Fraser Birthday Parties

    Please pass on our thanks and gratitude to the entire Events and Operations team for the courteous, friendly and attentive service. Delivering a memorable joint birthday dinner evening for all our guests.

    Despite the near Hurricane conditions outside rendering the Savernake Room terrace only usable for desperate smokers, the two hospitality team members Ola and Denel looked after us really well, as our drinks bill proves for the evening!! They deserve special mention and the hotel's recognition.

    All our guests really enjoyed the evening, creating special family memories for our shared big birthdays.

    “From the moment I spoke to Charlotte at the beginning to leaving the venue on the day, you and all the staff involved were amazing and made the baby shower even more special than I actually thought it could be. Katie had the best time and she even commented to me how attentive everyone was on the day. The room looked amazing when we walked in and I can honestly say that everyone that came to the baby shower made a comment on what a lovely time they had. The afternoon tea was just perfect too, so the kitchen staff also should be praised too.”
