I’m Sam, a wedding photographer based in the New Forest, with a love for beautiful surroundings, natural light and all the little moments that make a wedding day feel completely personal.

When I’m not photographing weddings, I’m usually outdoors with my wellies on, walking the dog, pottering in the garden or finding time to paint. I’m also a mum of two, so life is usually busy, but I love making the most of the quieter moments in between.

The New Forest has always been a big part of my life, and Balmer Lawn is particularly special to me. I spent much of my childhood here, playing in the stream beside the hotel, and I now bring my own children here too. To have come full circle and now photograph weddings at Balmer Lawn feels incredibly special.

My photography is relaxed and unobtrusive, blending a documentary approach with an editorial eye. I love capturing genuine moments as they naturally unfold, alongside beautifully considered portraits that feel timeless and authentic.

My aim is for couples to feel completely comfortable and free to enjoy their day, while I quietly capture the laughter, emotion, details and little moments that tell the story of it all.
